When William Rayner was born in 1861 in Little Cornard, Suffolk, his father, William (a blacksmith), was 40 and his mother, Hannah, was 38. He married Eliza Gilbert in 1887. He is first recorded as a blacksmith, but then became a Postm and moving closer to Sudbury. His last residence was 42 East Street, Sudbury. They had six children in 10 years. He died in December 1934 at the age of 73. The "In Memoriam" cards relate to three of his children who died in their early years. View more info
