Originally built as Sudbury High School for Girls (1936), in 1959 it became a bi-lateral school for all girls aged 11-18 from Sudbury and the surrounding area. In 1972, with the adoption of the three tier system, it became Uplands Middle School catering for 9-13 year old boys and girls, and continued until its closure in 2013 when middle schools ceased to be part of the education set-up. This book is filled with photographs and memories of staff, pupils and school events and undertakings. 23cms x 19cms. Pp.124, minor creasing (due to moisture?) to lower corners of p.73 to end not affecting text or illustrations. Paperback. Scarce. G+.
