Brown calf over bevelled board, corners a little bumped. Front board decorated blind rules and bright gilt titles. Spine with 4 raised bands. All page edges bright gilt. Original yellow endpapers. Inner hinges carefully strengthened. 31 illuminated leaves (including frontis and title). Frontis has a sepia photo of Shakespeare. Colophon to verso of title: "Illuminated by Saml. Stanesby.
