A very good 3 volume set. Well bound in the original half leather. 8vo. 8.75" x 5.50" x 1.25". Brown calf covered spine and corners over marbled boards. Edges lightly rubbed and bumped. Hinges carefully strengthened at sometime in the past. Smooth spines with gilt banding, gilt volume number and gilt titles. Marbled page edges matching the marbled boards and endpapers. Engraved armorial bookplate to the verso of each front board: "Benj. Whitelock" (Blazon - On A Castle Arg., An Eagle With Wings Displayed Or.) . Each volume with dated title-page. Clean text and engravings throughout, just the odd brown spot. A very good set. Vol. I. : pp.12/pp.399 ; Vol. II. : pp.8/pp.392 ; Vol. III. : pp.16/pp.420 - Printed: By Wilson & Co in Wild-Court, Lincoln's Inn Fields.
